KATRINA KAIF

Katrina Kaif was born on 16 July 1984. She was born to an Indian Kashmiri father, Mohammed Kaif and English mother, Susanna Turcotte, both of whom are British citizens. Her parents divorced when she was very young. Kaif has seven siblings, a brother and six sisters. From Hong Kong, Katrina Kaif and her family had moved down to China and later on to Japan. Katrina Kaif spent her childhood in various countries. Then moved to Hawaii and from there to her mother’s home country England and finally moved to Mumbai. Although Kaif believes to be from London, but eventually she resided in London only for a short span of three years.

Katrina Kaif is a British-Indian actress who appears in the Indian films, mainly in the Bollywood. She has also appeared in Telugu and Malayalam movies.  Katrina Kaif began her career as a model at the age of fourteen. Katrina Kaif's modeling work led to her discovery by London-based filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a role in the movie Boom (2003), but the movie did not make any remarks in the box office. She then moved to Mumbai, where she was offered a number of modeling assignments, but filmmakers were hesitant to cast her in movies due to her poor command of Hindi.

Katrina Kaif was voted as the sexiest woman in the world by the Eastern Eye in the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.  Later in the year 2005 she was blessed with a number of movies in her hand but nothing did work out for her. Finally in the year 2007, various other new projects turned up which was beneficial for her career which bagged her with a number of blockbusters.

Katrina Kaif was also awarded with a number of awards such as Filmfare Best Actress Award for the movie New York in 2010, Starscreen Award for Best Actor for the movie Raajneeti in the year 2011. She was nominated in the Best Actress category for the year 2008, 2009 and 2011.
